They have an office cum unit at Mahim, Mumbai as well as a Factory in Pune. Today Shilpa Creations is a name to reckon with in the Overseas Markets specially in European countries. A huge chunk of their exports find their way to France, Belgium, U.K., Germany, Canada and the United States.Their clientele includes major stores like Carrefour, Reitmans Inc., J.Tricot and C & A.
They are also operating about 400 Looms in Southern India manufacturing mainly Handloom Fabrics and thus boosting the Handloom sector. This operation entails handling of functions right from the Dyeing to the Fabric Stage. These products fall under the Quota free items from India.
Their seventeen solid years of hardcore experience has resulted in the company having a Capital Structure of 1,25,64,900 and their existing Total Turnover of Rs.15.71 Crore. Their Banking and Financial needs are met by Vijaya Bank, Santacruz (W), Mumbai.
Shilpa Creations manufactures excellent quality Readymade Garments and specializes in Handloom Garments. It has a monthly production capacity of 35,000 to 40,000 pieces of Ladies wear and 40,000 to 50,000 pieces of Men’s wear. It ships more than 1 million pieces in a year to most parts of the globe.
The company has a state of the art infrastructure and the machines used are modern and sophisticated to cater to the needs and requirements of their Buyers. It houses about 50 Sewing Machines; other machines include Sussman Steam Press, Over lock Machine, Juki Button hole and stitch machine and Arm Stitching machines. They also have the novel Kansai Special Model Machines for various activities. It undertakes Dyeing, Weaving, Printing, Embroidering, Finishing and other activities in its units.
The Garments are manufactured from Millmade, Handloom, Powerloom as well as viscose with solids, printed and discharge prints, rayon, fabrics and Madras checks etc, per client’s satisfaction. They source fabric from the suppliers and also develop it as per the buyer’s requirements.
The
company follows strict Production and Quality Control measures while Manufacturing,
Sampling and Merchandising. It strongly believes in “In-House” Production
and caters to international standards. Whilst maintaining rigid laboratory

on the ideals of Child Labour and do not entertain it at any cost. They
believe that no workforce below the legal age is used in any of their
Production or otherwise facility. The company is also a member of various
charitable trusts and associations including Child Relief and You, thereby
providing education by way of grants to millions of children in India.

The Company is benefited by the vast experience of one of its Director Mr. Manoj M Suchde who has been in the fashion garment field since over 35 years. He is involved in every activities of the organization. Starting from raw material procuring to shipping of finished merchandise is done under his able guidance. Mr. Manoj holds an important position in Confederation of Indian Apparel Export [CIAE] as a Joint Secretary.

INFRASTRUCTURE
The Company puts strong emphasises on In-House production to ensure that its garments are of International Standards well equipped manufacturing unit with the latest machines ensures the manufacture of quality goods. Today Shilpa has the right combination of Men, Machine and system for Product innovation which has been an essential mainstay of the company progress. We at Shilpa take pride in its Socially and Ethically compliant manufacturing units.
Shilpa has been using CAD/CAM softwares specially imported from Taiwan which gives better Garment Averages and the Company passes on the cost reduction benefit to its Clients.
The Company does not employ Child Labour.
MUSCAT CONNECTION [Off- shore Production]
We also have an offshore factory in Muscat. This unit produces 5000 dozen garments per month. Our Strength is not only to source the fabric from around the world and stitch than but also applies the latest technology in pre and post garment manufacturing.
LABORATORY & QUALITY CONTROL
Shilpa believes in strict quality control to ensure the garments of international standards. The fabric is first checked manually to detect any weaving defects. It is then passed to in House Laboratory checking for Pilling, Shrinkage & Color Fastness. The test is then carried out by leading professional laboratories like SGS, Intertek & Eco Laboratories for various tests like Shrinkage, Pilling, Tensile Strength, Color fastness to Crocking /Light/Water, Seam Slippage & Count construction.
In the next stage a garment is taken from the production pull and subjected to Garment Appearance Test after washing, to check for pilling, shrinkage and the trims like Button/Labels to ensure that they are in place.
We use dyes that are free of Azo dyes, agreeable to the regulations passed against forbidden dyes in Germany. Shilpa maintains AQL 2.5 Quality Standards in manufacturing.

The Fabric normally comes from Southern India the Weaving Center of India and certain fabrics like Polynosic, Cotton – Spandex are imported from Hong Kong and Taiwan.
We have Partner who has an office in Hong Kong who is responsible for Sourcing Trims and Fabrics.
Normally the Ideas for Product Development come from Designers from leading Fashion Institutes are hired whereby they attend various Colors / Style forecast seminars and design garments in line with Fashion Forecast.
